Thick concrete walls, clad in locally sourced stone, will provide thermal massing to naturally stabilize interior temperatures, while passive cooling and cross-ventilation will minimize reliance on mechanical systems.

Water self-sufficiency will be achieved through innovative fog collection and rainwater harvesting, transforming the site’s unique coastal climate into a renewable resource. Solar energy is planned to power the retreat, enabling a lifestyle that is both resilient and environmentally conscious.

The design aspires to create a modern off-grid house in Baja Mexico—a sanctuary for living and creating that harmonizes with its surroundings while offering sweeping ocean horizons and a deep connection to nature.
