For larger, full-service projects, contact us ︎︎︎ to explore how we can collaborate on a complete design solution.

How It Works

  1. 1. Show your space – via video or photos - or simply talk through possibilities at your pace
    2. Share your ideas – inspiration, sketches, floor plans, or questions
    3. Receive guidance – expert design solutions, recommendations, and next steps

Our time together is completely tailored to you. We can walk through your space on video, review photos or links over screen-share, or simply talk through possibilities at your pace. However you prefer to work, the session adapts to your comfort and curiosity.

What You’ll Get

In a one-hour consultation, you’ll receive focused, personalized guidance for your space, style, and goals. This is the time to ask questions, explore options, and get actionable advice you can immediately apply. This session is best reserved for a few targeted questions or high-level design conversations.

While we can’t produce full design plans or complete construction documents in an hour, you can expect to:

  • Clarify your design direction and priorities
  • Get expert solutions to specific design challenges in your space
  • Receive product, layout, or styling recommendations tailored to your needs
  • Identify next steps for either a DIY approach or moving toward a larger design project

By the end of the session, most clients feel inspired, confident, and equipped with concrete ideas and a clearer vision for how to move forward. Think of it as a high-impact, “design-light” session that delivers clarity without the commitment of a full project.

FAQ

How do consultations work?

Once you book your meeting via the link above, you will be sent a Google Meet calendar invite to join on your browser or smart phone. During our meeting, you can show your space via video or screen-share, ask questions, and get personalized guidance. The session is flexible and focused on your needs.

How should I prepare?

Your preparation can be as simple or detailed as you like—whatever helps you get the most out of our session. Many clients find it useful to gather photos of the space, a list of questions, or any inspiration images that reflect your style. If available, floor plans, sketches, or notes on furniture and décor you’re considering can also be helpful. The goal is to give us a clear starting point so we can focus the session on the ideas and guidance that matter most to you.

Can I show my space live?

Yes! Use your device’s camera or upload photos/documents to review during the call.

Can I book multiple sessions?

Yes! Many clients find it helpful to schedule more than one session, whether to explore different spaces, dive deeper into specific challenges, or follow up after implementing ideas from a previous consultation. Each session is independent, so you can book as many as you need to feel confident and inspired in your project.

How is this different from a project inquiry?

A project inquiry kicks off a full design project, with defined scope, deliverables, and often permitting or construction services. A design consultation is a personalized, one-hour session where you get tailored advice—think “design-light.” Perfect for DIY projects, smaller updates, or exploring ideas before a full project.

Can I get product recommendations?

Yes! We can suggest products that fit your space, style, and budget—from a range of vendors.

What if no times work for me?

Email hello@mpal.studio and we’ll help find a session that fits your schedule.

How much does it cost?

Consultations are offered at $400 for a dedicated 60-minute session. This time is fully devoted to personalized architectural and design insight shaped around your questions and goals.

Why work with you?

I combine an architect’s precision with an artist’s curiosity, so every consultation is both practical and inspiring. I focus on understanding your space, goals, and personal style, offering advice that’s tailored specifically to you. Whether tackling a DIY project, refreshing a room, or exploring ideas for a larger renovation, I provide clarity, creative solutions, and actionable guidance you can trust.
